Safe System Solutions Pty Ltd were engaged by Regional Road Victoria/VicRoads/DoT to design a wombat crossing and speed limit reduction on High Street, Yackandandah.

The design was prepared in accordance with VicRoads Final Drawing Presentation Guidelines, VicRoads Road Design Note 03-07 – Raised Safety Platforms and relevant Australian Standards.

The design included: Site inspection, to assess the site conditions and constraints; design of a wombat crossing; swept path analysis; design of signage to implement a 40 km/h speed zone; liaison with stakeholders; preparation of drawings.
