Capacity Building through Training Courses

We firmly believe that the best ways to improve road safety in low- and middle-income countries is through capacity building. That is, the delivery of our road safety knowledge to these countries; for them to adapt this knowledge with our guidance; and apply it to local conditions.

Our approach in capacity building is to customise our domestic workshops and courses to suit each country’s needs or to ascertain the needs of our clients in detail and to create a unique course to address their specific requirements. Our most popular courses, which have been delivered internationally, include:

  • Making Roads Motorcycle Friendly
  • Road Safety Auditing
  • Advanced Road Safety Auditing
  • The Safe System
  • Austroads Guide to Road Safety
  • Road Safety Planning and Management

We travel to the host country to deliver our training but can also host delegations in Australia for them to see, first hand, examples of the world’s best practice.

Consulting Services

We also offer our road expertise services internationally. Some of our most popular services are in the area of:

  • Powered two- and three-wheeler safety
  • Situational assessments
  • Capacity and capability assessments
  • Strategy development
  • Road safety audit and design advice

Our culturally-aware consultants are available to travel internationally for these projects.
