Central barrier systems don’t just prevent head-on crashes, they can prevent run-off-road to both the left and the right. The three most common lane departure methods for cars (both left and right) are:

  • Drift Off
  • Single Yaw
  • Double Yaw

The central barrier may come in to play in all three crash scenarios depending on the circumstances of the crash.
