Safe System Solutions Pty Ltd was engaged by Regional Roads Victoria to develop detailed designs for Side Road Activated Speeds (SRAS) treatments at over 20 different sites across eastern Victoria.

SRAS treatments are applied at high speed rural intersections to reduce the likelihood and severity of collisions between vehicles on the main road and vehicles entering from the side road. As vehicles approach the intersection along the side road, a temporary speed limit reduction of 30km/h is triggered on the main road, via electronic speed signs.
