Safe System Solutions Pty Ltd was engaged by VicRoads to develop additional standards and guidance for the Traffic Engineering Manual Volume 3. The standards and guidance were associated with bicycle and pedestrian treatments at roundabouts.

The project involved a literature review of best practice treatments for pedestrians and cyclists at roundabouts, engineering analysis of new and innovative approaches, stakeholder consultation and writing the guidance document.
