Safe Solutions Pty Ltd was engaged by Transport for New South Wales – Centre for Road Safety to review and develop treatments for four of Sydney’s highest pedestrian crash sites. The project involved investigations into land use in the area and the development of possible treatment options to influence pedestrian behaviour. This included engineering design and development, along with consultation with drinking establishments, sporting clubs, retailers, train station operators and bus operators to discuss possible behavioural improvement initiatives. The outputs were: Scope Approval Reports; costings (risk-based cost estimate); concept designs; and risk assessments.
