The end of a barrier (the terminal) is the most dangerous part of the barrier system. Gating Redirective Energy Absorbing Terminals (GREAT) are required to lessen the severity of the crash. Victoria currently accepts three GREAT end terminals:
• MASH Sequential Kinking Terminal (SKT)
• ET-SS
• MAX-Tension
