Safe System Solutions is proud to be involved with the TAC’s Local Government Grants Program again this year, from pre-application support to post-construction auditing.

Councils across Victoria can apply for grants of up to $100,000 for road safety projects that adopt Safe System principles to reduce crashes, particularly to improve safety for pedestrians and cyclists.

Safe System Solutions helps to ensure each project achieves this by providing:

  • Pre-application support
  • Independent application assessment
  • Post-construction Road Safety Audits and compliance reviews

Safe System Solutions Project Development Lead, Catherine Deady, said the organisation was driven by its goal to make roads a safer place for everyone.

“We’re committed to using our leading road safety expertise to help reduce trauma and save lives,” she said.

“This grants program supports projects that will reduce crashes on local streets – and create a safer environment for pedestrians and cyclists.

“We encourage councils to make the most of the pre-application technical support on offer with our experienced road safety engineers. They are here to help by sharing their project guidance and advice.

“This is my fourth year working with the TAC on the local government grants program, and I am really passionate about the program’s objectives. The grant offerings are a fantastic opportunity for councils to secure funding to improve road safety for their community.”

Applications for the TAC’s Local Government Grants Program close at 3pm on Wednesday 24 July 2024.
