Safe System Solutions Pty Ltd was engaged to undertake a Site Road Safety Audit, from a motorcycle perspective, of the existing road conditions along Victoria Parade and the Eastern Freeway, to permit motorcyclists to travel along the existing bus lanes.

The report identified several issues including Road Safety Barriers, Stopping Sight Distance and Lane Changing. Potential hazards were also identified for further investigation including:
✓ Dooring;
✓ Parking;
✓ Squeeze Point;
✓ Roadside Hazards;
✓ Surfacing; and
✓ Public Transport.
