Safe System Solutions Pty Ltd was engaged by the VicRoads Safe System Road Infrastructure Program (SSRIP) Team to conduct an analysis of fatal and serious injury crashes along the Western Freeway from the M80 Ring Road, Derrimut, to Dowling Road, Miners Rest. This Fatal and Serious Injury Crash Analysis informed planning options in relation to the installation of continuous safety barriers along the freeway. Through this extensive analysis, Safe System Solutions Pty Ltd was able to identify sections of the freeway to be prioritised for safety barrier installation.
