Road safety barriers save lives. But only when they are selected, designed, installed, and maintained correctly.
Behind every barrier is a long list of important design decisions that most people never think about. Length. Offset. System type. Flare rate. Post spacing. Variants. Overlaps. End terminals. Each choice directly affects how a barrier performs in a real crash.
Last week we delivered another Road Safety Barriers technical training course, bringing together practitioners who are responsible for getting these details right in the real world. This technical course has now been delivered across Queensland, the Northern Territory, New South Wales, Victoria, New Zealand, Abu Dhabi, and Canada.
The focus is practical. Understanding how barrier systems actually work, what the standards require, where failures commonly occur, and how to design with genuine Safe System outcomes in mind.
If you design, specify, install, audit, or manage roadside barriers, this is one area where the details truly matter.
