Absolutely.
And honestly, I still love it just as much as I did on day one.
No matter how many years you spend in road safety, there is nothing quite like getting out there, watching how people really move, behave, hesitate and react. You always learn something new. You always spot something you would never see from behind a desk. (And I seem to always come away with better technical training examples to use).
Over the weekend and the start of this week, I have been out on site with our Queensland Office team alongside fellow Senior Road Safety Auditor, Principal Engineer and Safe System Solutions Queensland Lead, Haris Zia. Great conversations, great observations and plenty of practical learning that will flow straight back into our projects and training.
Site visits keep the work real. They remind you why the details matter.
Do you still love getting out on site as much as you did at the start of your career?
