Safe Solutions Pty Ltd was engaged by Transport for New South Wales – Centre for Road Safety to undertake the statewide trauma modelling for the development of their Vision Zero 2056 Road Safety Strategy. Safe System Solutions Pty Ltd’s Strategy Lead, Dr Johan Strandroth, is recognised as the world leader in road trauma modelling and has led the Vision Zero road trauma modelling for the Swedish Transport Administration, Victorian Government, New Zealand Government and NSW Government.

The NSW project involved the use of ‘backcasting’ and case-by-case analysis to determine gaps in the transport system to achieve zero deaths and serious injuries. Johan has crafted this specific method of modelling through his PhD and ongoing work over the last 25 years.
