Safe System Solutions Pty Ltd was engaged by Victoria’s Department of Environment, Land, Water, and Planning (DELWP) and Department of Transport (DoT) to evaluate the Neerim East Trail Bike Pilot Project. Specifically, the project consists of evaluating trail bike riders’ awareness of the new trail; safety improvements offered by the new trail; and a preand post-trail construction comparison of where riders ride, crash data, emergency services ease of access to crash victims, noise pollution, and environmental impacts.
