Last month, Safe System Solutions Pty Ltd. delivered our Traffic Engineering Fundamentals – Signs and Lines course for Mildura Rural City Council.
This one-day technical training is based on the latest Australian Standard AS 1742 series covering the function, and importance of road signs and line markings.
The course provided staff at Mildura Rural City Council with the knowledge and skills to select appropriate signs or line markings and their locations.
This workshop covered the following key topics
- Introduction to AS 1742 series
- Classification and types of signs and line markings
- Selection and use of the appropriate signs and line markings
- Sign installation
This interactive workshop was led by Thuan Nguyen, our Traffic Lead. Thuan has been working in the traffic and transport field for over 20 years and is currently the Chairperson of the Standards Australia committee on road signs and traffic signals.
