The Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) harmonised the Queensland MUTCD with the Australian Standard AS1742 series as part of the national harmonisation. The MUTCD now only contains Queensland specific differences to the Australian Standard and will need to be read together with the Australian Standard by practitioners in Queensland including TMR Regions/Districts, Local Government Authorities, Contractors and Consultants.

This one-day technical training provides practitioners with the knowledge and skills to select appropriate signs or line markings and their locations. This is to ensure the safety of road users, consistency, and to assist autonomous vehicles.

This interactive workshop is led by Thuan Nguyen, Traffic Lead at Safe System Solutions Pty Ltd. Thuan has been working in the traffic and transport field for over 20 years.

He is joined by guest speaker Rohit Singh, Principal Engineer (Traffic Engineering Practice) at the Department of Transport and Main Roads and a member of the Standards Australia committee on road signs and traffic signals.
